Sizing
Trees are sized according to the circumference of their trunk at one metre above ground level. For instance, the size is shown as 10/12 if the distance round the trunk at one metre is between 10cms and 12cms.
To gauge the height of a tree from this form of measurement, the following table can used to give a very average guide.

You can have even larger specimens.
These are all standard trees and usually have clear trunks up to 1.5 metres or 4 foot 6 inches.
Feathered trees are shown as their height.
Weeping trees are almost always shorter than the above suggests.
Some trees are also grown as multi-stemmed and are specified by height not circumference.
In most varieties larger trees are supplied with burlapped or wire caged root balls as appropriate.
